Trofie is a kind of long and slim pasta which belongs to the Ligurian tradition of Genova and Tigullio in particular. This is a white pasta by organic farming, tasty but delicate, and you can try it with different sauces: it’s wonderful with different kinds of tomato sauce, ragout or pesto. Actually Trofie are best known for their pairing with Genoese pesto sauce, with which it forms the perfect combination.

Kind of Pasta: durum wheat flour, short pasta

Region of Origin: Liguria

Cooking time: 20 min.

Ingredients: durum wheat semolina, water.

Allergens: Gluten. Produced in a factory that uses: Fish, Eggs, Nuts, Mollusc, Celery, Mustard.
