The Borettana onion has a distinctive flavour and takes its name from Boretto, a town in the province of Reggio Emilia, in Emilia Romagna. It has a more flattened bulb at the poles and a golden-yellow colour, and in its flavour can be enhanced by adding the balsamic vinegar of Modena. It is a variety of onion usually served with cold cuts and as an accompaniment to meat dishes. It is also very appreciated to fill canapè, to garnish slices of bread and to enrich appetizers.

Region of Origin: Emilia Romagna

Ingredients: Borettane onions, water, cane sugar, wine vinegar (contains Sulphites), grape must, "Balsamic vinegar of Modena IGP" 2,2%, cinnamon, aroma.

Allergens: Sulphites.

Store in a dry place at a temperature not exceeding 28°C. Once opened, keep in the fridge not more than 3 days.
